Established in 2019

Who We Are

Established in 2019, Saor Forestry was formed with the aim of making sure workers receive fair treatment, with quality being at the forefront of how we operate. Our core mission is to help increase tree cover, primarily to help combat climate change and restore native woodland across Scotland, and also to increase self-reliance of timber supply.

We are based in Johnstone, Renfrewshire and we primarily serve Central Scotland, Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway.

A Passion for Environmental Protection

We are passionate about protecting the environment, and it drives many decisions we make as an organisation. In every part of our operations, we strive to minimise the environmental impact our work has. This includes reducing our carbon footprint and reducing our impact on the local environment.

Where appropriate, we use our tracked ATV to minimise our visual and physical impact on the local landscape whilst allowing us to access a broader range of planting blocks. We also employ the use of biodegradable flagging tape, reducing single use plastics within our operations significantly, whilst also ensuring local flora and fauna are not harmed.
